The 10-team tournament will commence on October 5 in Ahmedabad, with the rematch of the 2019 final between reigning champions England and runners-up New Zealand.
After hosting the tournament in 1987, 1996, and 2011, this is the fourth occasion when India will be the host. While the previous editions were co-hosted, this 13th edition of the tournament will mark India’s first opportunity as a sole host. Days of the World Cup.
During the 2011 edition, India defeated Australia in the quarterfinals before clinching their second 50-over title.
Australia will play at eight different venues in this edition: Chennai, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Delhi, Dharamshala, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and Pune. The Australian team will conclude their league stage of the tournament against Bangladesh in Pune on November 12.
The semi-finals will take place in Mumbai (November 15) and Kolkata (November 16), with the final scheduled for November 19 in Ahmedabad.”
